WALTER «WOLFMAN» WASHINGTON is a true icon of New Orleans funk, blues and soul music.

He began his career as a teenager, touring with Lee Dorsey (Ride Your Pony, Working in a Coal Mine), Irma Thomas, and his mentor, David Lastie and The Taste of New Orleans. In the late 70’s he began a long collaboration with Johnny Adams, lasting for nearly 20 years before he finally founded his own band, Walter «Wolfman» Washington and The Roadmasters.
After nearly 30 years they still perform regularly in New Orleans, and are touring the world in support of their most recent CD, Doin the Funky Thing.
